Notes: NACHA (The Electronic Payments Association) is a real organisation, who are responding positively and actively against this use of their name for fraudulent purposes. The details of this fraudulent e-mail were submitted to the ‘Report Spam Email’ site.

Over the last couple of days I’ve received about 26 e-mail messages supposedly from the US (United States) IRS (Internal Revenue Service). It’s a pretty poor attempt at phishing. The subject of the message is typically: “IRS Notification” and the content is designed to acquire you’re personal details.
